Dr. David Eisenhauer, Orthopedic Surgeon, founder and CEO of MoonlightOrtho, the first and only standalone orthopedic telehealth Practice, recently announced that they would be officially launching their innovative telemedicine platform at the AAOS 2019 annual meeting, the world’s largest orthopedic meeting. Scheduled to be held at Venetian/Sands Expo, Las Vegas, Nevada, the meeting dates are from March 12 – 16, 2019 and exhibit dates from March 13 – 15, 2019.
You can meet with Dr. Eisenhauer and MoonlightOrtho representatives at Booth #5332 at the AAOS venue.
Conducted by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the main objective of this meeting is to develop and refine a perspective on the broad range of orthopedic knowledge, care and surgical practice. The AAOS Annual Meeting draws thousands of Orthopedic Surgeons and features presentations of scientific papers, scientific posters and technical exhibits, instructional courses, educational symposia, and company exhibits.
Exhibitors at the 2019 meeting can benefit from access to over 14,000 Orthopedic Surgeons and other healthcare professionals, 22 exhibit hours, and access to scientific sessions if space permits. No other Orthopedic meeting provides this rare opportunity to reach a focused and engaged audience. This event would bring together all the latest advancements in orthopedic technology, science and research, which makes it an industry-leading educational event.
MoonlightOrtho is an all-inclusive and user-friendly telehealth “hub” for musculoskeletal care, including Orthopedics/Sports Medicine, Podiatry, Physical Therapy, imaging (such as MRI and X-ray), durable medical equipment, and even concierge surgery and medical tourism. Telemedicine, which is a new concept in Orthopedic medicine, is offered as a concierge-style option, giving patients another choice in the delivery of their healthcare.
Dr. Eisenhauer says, “Our main goal at MoonlightOrtho was to develop a user-friendly and all-inclusive orthopedic telehealth ‘hub,’ capable of bringing patients interested in telemedicine services together with forward thinking Orthopedic providers, via asynchronous video telecommunication, all within an easily navigable and HIPAA-compliant website.”
At AAOS 2019, MoonlightOrtho will be offering a special discounted “overhead” rate of 20 percent to providers who sign up at the meeting. Thereafter, rates would start at 30 percent. At present they have providers in 32 states, with the number increasing monthly. The MoonlightOrtho practice is looking forward to associating with forward-thinking physicians as private contractors who can give them thoughtful feedback as the platform expands. They are also offering a platform licensing option where groups interested in telehealth can implement the established workflow of the MoonlightOrtho platform while customizing it to appear as their own telehealth offering that can be seamlessly integrated into an existing website.
